Completed in the 14th century, this iconic historic landmark has served as one of the symbols of Bratislava for quite some time.Even if you weren’t planning to, it’s very likely you’ll bump into Michael’s Gate while visiting Bratislava, as it’s one of the main entrance’s to the Old Town. A tower was added to Michael's Gate in the 15th century. With the tower, Michael’s Gate rises to a height of 51 metres tall and stands out because of its Baroque-style copper roof.Michael’s Gate is the place where new kings would take their oaths after being crowned. Today, Michael’s Gate tower is home to Slovakia’s Museum of Arms (Weapons Museum). Make your way to the top of the museum to get a wonderful view of the city.
